Crytalens reading vision was started.
I've had Crystalens surgery and have had considerable glare in my eyes especially at low light times and at night. Anybody have this same problem and what solutions ,if any, have been offered to correct this problem? Furthermore, if you have, have these solutions worked or helped in anyway ?
i'm sorry...yes "yag" is the type of laser used in laser casulotomy (the laser procedure i assume you're surgeon is referring to)
Thanks to both of you for your reply and comments. What is this term called "yag, ing"? I gather its some kind of a laser procedure. Tim
I am not a surgeon. i am assuming you have a displaced lens, and yag'ing the capsule (laser) may help it realign. replacing the lens will be very difficult and will require an anterior chamber iol, which neither you nor the surgeon likely want. thats probably why he's recommending just fixing the resultant myopia with lasik.
Dear Tim,
The advice you are getting sounds reasonable to me. It is not uncommon for your vision to improve in the early post op period. I would pay careful attention to the eye that you see near thru and make sure your doctor hears from you if the vision at near continues to improve.
