I am 60 years old woman having joint pain.RF is positive.pain in hands joints.doctor told RA.what test and medicines should be used.

Your 2 problems are very different in causes, but both result in erosion of the joints and pain.

One difficulty is that many of the newer medications such as remicade and enbrel are most effective for patients who are younger and recently diagnosed.  This is because it can only prevent further damage frmo happening and if it's already happened, it can't heal that.

There are many medications that can help, you need to ask your doctor for help

I am 60 yrs with a history of psioratic artharitis since 1985. My both knees have been replaced since 2006. I am overweight but walking about. Now my left shouldr and right wrist has pain, but no swelling. I am using pain killers but not totally satisfied. Please advise some effective medicine.
