It is too early to diagnose you with CFS. According to the CDC, a CFS diagnosis should be considered in patients who present with six months or more of unexplained fatigue accompanied by other characteristic symptoms. These symptoms include:
cognitive dysfunction, including impaired memory or concentration
postexertional malaise lasting more than 24 hours (exhaustion and increased symptoms) following physical or mental exercise
unrefreshing sleep
joint pain (without redness or swelling)
persistent muscle pain
headaches of a new type or severity
tender cervical or axillary lymph nodes
sore throat
There have been people who have recovered from CFS and it sounds like you may be one of them. If I were you, I would consider taking very good care of yourself until this is over. Also, make sure you get lots of sleep and rest. If you would like to view treatments for CFS (which includes many supplements) --- click on my profile and you will see my website address. I post online treatments for CFS written by the experts. Since you have a post viral syndrome right now, I'm sure your physician wouldn't mind taking supplements... but of course, always be sure to check with him/her.
Thanks for the reply. About a month ago I was severly fatigued even after few hours of work but now I am able to work about 8 hours a day without feeling too tired. DO you think its too early to call it a CFS since its only been less than 2 months especially some of my symptoms seems to improving especially the fatigue and memory fog ? I am taking some herbal supplement no but do you recommend anything else that may help with these symptoms especially the muscle and jointache.. thank you
P.S. -- You may want to consider seeing a Naturopathic physician. The ones I've seen are very knowledgeable about immune problems and conditions like fibro & CFS. I know they may suggest supplements and/or other natural things that may help you recover sooner.
I'm glad to hear that your energy level has been increasing ! I would think that this is more CFS like symptoms that you are experiencing. Believe it or not... many CFS patients have severe headaches and the muscle aches.
Its up to you whether or not you want to see a physician at this point. The good news is, it sounds like you are recovering from that viral infection. Whether or not you could have a new condition ? I'm not sure.
Keep in touch.
