dark patches on my forehead

I am 30 years old, in good health mixed race male.
My problem is that i have dark patches on my forehead which comes and goes from time to time.
I believe that weaing my baseball cap or any type of head gear for long periods of time promotes the dark patches on my forehead.

I have a balanced diet, regularly exercise.
I currently moisturize my forehead with bio oil, which helps, but does not clear the patches totally...

Can any one suggest any treatment for this?

Thank you for responeding to my question.
The dark patch is not itchy.
After couple few months of using bio oil, it seems to fade the marks slightly
I do not have any allergies that I am aware of.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

You have noted that this is associated with prolonged wearing of a cap or a head gear. This may be a form of contact dermatitis. I suggest that you have this checked by a dermatologist. Topical steroids are mainstay of therapy for dermatitis as well as antihistamines are also used for the itchiness. In your case, one has to ascertain the definite cause of this as these medications may have unwanted side effects.

Is this itchy?

Does it resolve spontaneously?

Do you have any known allergies?
