What do i have?

i have read a lot of things about penile papuals and they dont describe ehat i have. i know i dont have any std's or anything like that. because i have been tested for them. but for me i have white bumps on the back of my penis and are starting to wrap around to the front. and some of them well pop like pimples. but still have something hard under the skin and im not able to get it out its kinda like an ingrown hair. and i think im starting to get the bumps around the rim of my penis. i have had the ingrown hair things for like 5 years befor i was sexualy active. and am also not sure what to do about it. i have heard of laser surgery but im still not exactly sure what i have. so if you could help me that would be great. i am 17 years old.

This discussion is related to pearly penile papules .. how to permanently remove.

I think I have the same thing that you are describing, I'm 16 and a virgin so I've always wondered about this. I actually managed to pop one once, and it was kind of like a blackhead inside, like concentrated yellow wax.

Hi,

I understnad how concerned you are about this.At this point, I seem to agree with your physician that further observation may be needed with regards to these bumps. These bumps may resolve spontaneously on their own. If there are no associated penile deformity during erection, no pain in erection or ejaculation, no change in urinary patterns, then this may be something that does not require further evaluation.

A penile ultrasound may be able to allay your worries and concern.

i read up on what folliculitis was and its nuthing like what i have. the Description and its blisters and white blood stained puss comes out of them surrounded by narrow red rings. and mine has no discoloration its just bumps under my skin and just feel like little rocks under my skin and no hair has ever come out of them or neer them like the description also noted. and im sure if i had that they would hurt and what i have dosn't hurt me at all. like the description also said it would. i have searched up other stuff but just cant find anything that would convince me of exactly having that. i talked to my docter but wasn't sure what i have but said i might just grow out of it. Which wasnt to convincing because i have had it for 5 years now i would think i would grow out of it a little sooner then that. unless it has something to do with puberty bad i just happen to break out down there. i just dont know what to search or ask.

Hi,

If folliculitis is a differential, then application of topical antibiotics may actually help. However, the skin of the  genitals as I have mentioned are quite fragile and sensitive. You may ask your physician first before applying anything on the area.  I understand that you may want to have this permanently  gone. The thing is manipulating the area may cause more damage or complication if one is considering a skin infection. Folliculitis does not necessarily have to be sexually related.

yes i knew that i really didnt have to worry about it i know its not an std and its not contagious. but its just imbarrasing and i just wanted to know if there was a posibibility of geting them removed. because im starting to get more of them. and if i knew what it was then maby i could look for some kind of way of geting rid of it. so if you find out wat it is that would be great. i just need to know what i have. and i will take your advice and avoide touching them. thanx alot

Hi,

How old are you? I forgot to ask that in my previous post.

In your case, pearly penile papules are still considered as differentials as they are noted to surround the head of the penis. Another differential will be a folliculitis, although this may not be so since the distal parts of the penis are almost devoid of hair follicles. Still, these are just differentials .I understand you are highly concerned about this but just to assure you ,this does not sound like an urgent case.

Refrain from constantly touching or manipulating the area. These may be benign penile structures however, it is still best to have folliculitis ruled out since this is contagious.

Hi,

This "ingrown hair things" , how would you describe them?

Are they like hard lumps and bumps under the skin of the penis?

Are these bumps painful?

Do you have any problems with sexual respones ( eg deformity during an erection )?

Any change in urinary patterns ? Is there any increase in urinary frequency or burning pain in urination?

I suggest that you refrain from popping the lesions as you may get them infected.

I shall be expecting your answers as they may help clarify some things.
