Confused final step

Dear Doctor
So far My mother has received 4 cycles of chemotherapy .It has been 20 days since she received her 4rth chemo. Her blood reports are all in the range.more importantly CA 125 is now 10.6 units/ml which was 398.4 units/ml in the beginning. Also size of the ovarian tumor has also reduced to 3.5cmx2.5cm which was earlier 10cmx10cm .Now Doctor's are planning for surgery which is scheduled to be conducted in the coming week.I am A bit frightened as to what will b her condition after operation??? here doc's don't talk much with patient's attendent????please guide me if the things going on are fine???
