I was wondering how you are doing right now after 10 years because I have the same symptoms.
I forgot to add that after my radical hysterectomy I had strange symptoms on my R side from head to toe and I still sometimes have a headache on my R side or shooting pain in my R leg or I will have twitching(spelling) in my R eye or lip or sharp pain in my R pelvic area. I never had these before my surgery..ever. . These also can be related to my ovarian cancer of the R ovary. Doctors would tell me is stress ralated but I know it is related to my hysterctomy and cancer dx. I am not saying you might have cancer but do not ignore your symptoms and find another doctor who will take your symptoms seriously.. They tend to always say "Oh this I am sure is nothing, it's all in your head" geeee I just hate when they say that. I went through few doctors before I found one I like and he is GREAT. His visit with me lasts however long it takes!!!...usually nurses book 15 to 20 minuts max I get about 40 minutes to 1 hour with all my questions and he is not rushing me at all. Hugs, Sunes.
If your doctor is dismissing you and not listening to you then I would suggest a new doctor, maybe a female would be more interested. ALso this drooping eye makes me think you had a stroke...I can't understand the dropy eye being related to hormones. The other symptoms sound like hormne related. However, it could be symptoms for something else also and I think you should have a thorough work up to discount anything more serious and or get this hormone issue dealt with. Keep me posted.

BHRT is a great thing. It helped lot of my friends after hysterectomies. I had hysterectomy (radical one) but did not take anything for replacing hormones. In my age I didn't want to. Instead I changed my diet drastically and stopped using anything that had chemicals in it.I mean anything.Started on VITAMINS and MINERALS right away ...I had few hot flushes but nothing like my gyno explained I will have.Vitamin C helps a lot and so Vit D in large amounts. They tested me for Vit D 25-Hydroxy Vit D test at first and I was at 22 now I am at 110 after taking vitamins and eating well.BHRT really It is not another quack...like some people would call it. I believe that nature is supplying medicne for every sickness we have the only thing that nature did not antcipated was radical removal of some vital organs. My doctor was supposed to leave me one ovary but he decided to take it out. When I asked why he said it was standard procedure.
I hope this will give you some light on some things natural way. Hopw you are doing well.
Sunes.
Thank you very much for your help and support! I have been looking into the BHRT, but have been skeptical.....it seems to good to be true!
I will be scheduling a Dr. Appt. ASAP.
I recommend seeing a doctor that specializes in menopause and bioidentical hormones. Blood testing at the very least for estrogen, testosteron (free and serum) and thyroid is important.
There is hope and there are options. But unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, hysterectomies cause us to stop producing hormones that are so vital to our health and well-being.
I had a total hysterectomy 20 years ago. 4 years ago I went on BHRT and they drastically changed my life. I get estrogen and testosterone subcutaneous pellets implanted in my hip.
If you are still experiencing symptoms while on hormones, it means they aren't balanced. Balancing is key and sometimes takes tweaking and time. And if, for example, a hormone is too high, then symptoms can be the same as if they are too low.
Please don't give up.
It does sound like symptoms of menopause, BUT yours sounds so extreme! If I were you I'd look for another doctor that will listen and I don't believe this is all in your head. You need a doctor that will do some blood work on you to get to the bottom of all of this.
