recurrent sialadenitis

Since 2004 I've had swollen salivary glands. It was never really bad.
It would come and go for a few days once a year, until this spring of 2008. I've had a CT Scan in May of 2007, no stones in the duct. ENT said nothing to worry about. So this past spring, it lasted for weeks off and on,
took antibiotics and it will pass. So I started to do my own research
and found articles suggesting that recurrent sialadenitis is a symptom of HIV patients.

I do not have HIV and i had sialadenitis (removed gland). Having it does mean you have HIV. It can be caused by alot of other reasons. Dehydration is one of them.

Try not to stress over it.

Yes in 2007, but being the hypochondriac that I am I got tested, although I knew after the fact that my risk was low, however a risk is a risk. It is frustrating to have something so bothersome and read other possibilities, so I just had to ask because I know these forums are helpful. Thanks Teak!

I don't know any positive people with sialadenitis. It is not a concern of HIV. Did you have a risk of contracting HIV? (unprotected vaginal or anal sex or shared works with other IV drug abusers?)
