Valsmit – Thanks for asking. I'm doing fine. Like I said before, this thing will take a long time to unfold. A biopsy is the right step. That will let you know the progress of the disease. Then you'll make a decision based on that.
It's a bummer to have HCV but there are a lot of worse things in the world.
Have a great weekend.
Thanks for replying.
It seems that I was wrong in saying my liver is ok. I went on a help line and was told that I would need a biopsy AHHH as an Ultra Sound isn't much help. I'm glad that it is slow moving as it seems I have had it for 30years lol. Will just have to wait until I get an appointment with the consultant.
I hope you are ok.
The first thing you need to understand is that nothing needs to be decided quickly. HCV is a very slow moving virus. Take a deep breath. Then take ten more. Then go out and watch a movie. Try to relax. Nothing needs to be decided right away. Anxiety won't help.
You will need to inform yourself about the illness and hopefully your medical practitioner will work with you to determine the progress of the disease.
Do not be alarmed. It's not the best news in the world to get, but it's far from the worst. Now go watch T.V. or something to take your mind off it.
Oh, you asked, for many it is not awful at all having it. The chances are that the majority of people with HCV don't even know they have it.
