cramps

Hello everyone:

I have a question and would like to know if any of you out there ever experienced  (pre tx) cramps like in the legs, feet and even hands. I seem to get this alot sometimes waking up in the middle of the night with a leg cram.  You all know how it is before starting tx that any little thing you pannic thinking oh my god this is from the hep?  Starting treatment soon but just would like to know if anyone had this problem.

Thanks,

YES YES YES, AND I DID TX FOR ONLY 13 WEEKS OVER A YEAR AGO.  I THINK IT IS THE HEP. I CAN BARELY WALK ANYMORE AND I AM SO SCARED AND IN SO MUCH PAIN THAT I CANNOT BELIEVE IT IS HAPPENING TO MY BODY.

WHERE IS HELP, WHAT KIND OF A DOC COULD DIAGNOSE OR HELP US SOMEHOW, IT IS REALLY CRIPPLING MY LIFE.

I have had cramps also and I believe it is related to the peg but cant be sure. I get up at night sometimes because my foot will have a cramp and unless I get out of bed and put weight on it it wont go away. Just have to live with it while under the study's.
Good luck

Yeah, sometimes they are absolutely radical and twist my toes every which way - but I have never attributed them to hepatitis c.  Eat bananas for the potassium and keep some Tums with calcium by the night stand - that seems to be pretty fast acting.  You are not on any medicine for bone thinning are you?  Sometimes our mind plays havoc over the physical.  The stress right before starting tx is immense. Are you menopausal?  That kind of thing starts happening when estrogen starts to run out, I think.  When are you starting tx?
