how can I stop chronic throat clearing

Hi, My husband has had the same problem for about 8 years, and it's driving
me crazy. I've done a lot of research, and the woman at the health food store
suggeted "Coltfoot." It's suposed to clear your lungs and work on you respiritory
track as well. He's gone to 4 Drs., and they can't find anything wrong with him.
That's easy for them, but try living with it!!!! I depend on earplugs alot, but all I
really want is for something to help him. It would make such a diffenence in our
lives. I just picked it up today, so I will post again when we see if it works.

The discussion link with your post should answer a lot of your questions.  I can add that drinking enough water thru the day might help, and also visit an ear nose throat ENT doc and have him check your sinuses.
