What are the optimum levels for diabetes?

Hello,

I am 30 years old. I had a blood sugar test 2 days ago. It turns out to be my Blood glucose and HbA1c levels are bit higher. The result was:

Glucose:  109 mg/dl
HbA1c:     6.1%
HbA1c (IFCC): 43 mmol/mol

I want to know how bad are these results and how can I control this thing.

regards,
Naveel
