I was put on 150 mcg of Synthroid for over a year and recently received a call from my doctor saying my levels were low and prescribed me 125 mcg of Synthroid. I don't understand why he did that. Isn't 150 mcg a higher dosage than 125 mcg?

My doctor changed my Synthroid dosage from 100 mcg once a day to 112 mcg SIX days a week. Has anyone ever heard of skipping a day of Synthroid? Also, are there any insights as to why a doctor would make this change? Thanks for your time.

I had my thyroid removed Febr. 28, 2011. Surgery went fine & I am now on 0.088MCG synthroid. I feel very emotional and depressed in the last few weeks. How long before I feel better?? I did not feel like this the first few weeks after surgery.
