aww and the hair so cute. do they give them the soothers in the hospital retta, Just cause ive seen like 3 ladies that just gave birth with the same soothers, Im just worried that giving the baby a soother will not let me BF cause the baby will get confused well thats what i was told,
Renae- actually it is different in different hospitals.....the hospital where zahra was born, they discouraged soothers and bottle feedings as well...in fact they got no soothers there in the rooms...but there is a lot of hype and misconceptions around soothers...u can definitely give it baby, it wont cause any problem...in my experience it actually helped a lot to get zahra calmer and when a baby is really hungry...she/he wont b pacified with soother, only food wil sooth her...they actually know the difference between the two...so dont worry about it just yet..:)
My son is going to be 3 in April and we just took his away. He loved loved loved it and it never caused a problem with breastfeeding or anything else. I actually worked in EMS for over 20 years and I took a class on SIDS while I was pg with him. The class actually 'RECOMMENDED"....YEP....you heard me, recommended soothers. Apparently they are finding it reduces the rate of SIDS, so I let him have it and he loved it. It strengthens their breathing and if they happen to turn on their face in bed, it gives just enough space to let air in.
