I really appreciate ur input. You souls like a very sweet and educated man!! Thanks a lot!! Day two of the Celexa and I am speeding my *** off !! Lol.
And, thats probably part of the problem. If you think you do have ADD, you need to go to a doc that deals with that. While some physicians do, I have seen too many posts by women on this site whose ADD has been completely ignored by their normal doc. I do think that Celexa is worth a try, its a decent med. But if your depression is caused by more then just your injuries - in other words, you had depression problems (maybe anxiety) before the injuries - then you are not dealing with the root cause of the problem.
Forgot to answer ur question, he is my primary care physician
Well sandman he said no adhd in his opinion but prescribed Celexa for the depression. The Morphine I get fro a pain management clinic since I've had three back surgeries and my neck fused. Still have four more herniated discs from degenerate disc and also stenosis. Lots of pain but 150mg Morphine a day does the trick. Willing to give antidepressant a try......
Depression is a very common co-disorder with ADD. Even more so when you have undiagnosed ADD and have had to live with it for so many years. I would assume that the depression existed before you started the opioids?
What kind of a doc are you seeing? If he is not a psychiatrist, you may need to schedule an appointment with one that deals or specializes in patients with AD/HD.
Let me know how the appointment goes.
And, I have a ton of resources that might be helpful to you.
Guess I'm more worried that I scheduled the appt th address depression I've been battling and I fear he will say it is from the opioids when I feel it is from undiagnosed adhd
Are you afraid that the doc will think that somehow you will be addicted to the stim meds. It can't happen if you follow the prescribed dosage. And even if you don't, the drugstores won't refill the prescription till the end date. Research as shown that addiction is not a problem when used correctly.
