Feingold Diet

Has anyone experienced any success with the Feingold diet? My boyfriend's nephew has ADHD and they're trying the Feingold diet and they think it's helping.

I stand by what I said, if you look at the diet, a lot of the foods that are eliminated are very healthy for you.  Of course, a lot of the foods the diet recommends to not eat are definitely worth eliminating. I would just like to see a little bit more balance in their recommendations.

The place to learn about the Feingold diet is at www.feingold.org This is the website of the Feingold Association, the support group that continues the work of Dr. Ben F. Feingold.

Going on this diet is very healthy. Eliminating additives made from petroleum is a good thing and these additives are NOT antioxidents.

If you are referring to the salicylates, this is only done the first 6 weeks and there are plenty of other foods that can be used in their place.

Best unbiased information of the diet is here.    Personal feeling is that you are eliminating a lot of good antioxidents with the diet.
