Just go see your gp and tell him what you said here,,, getting a diagnosis of ADD is pretty easy for an adult and he will hook you up with amphetamines which will probably help lift the depression if its not soley a seritonin issue because other hormone imbalances can cause depression and amphetamines are good for lifting the mood so long as they dont make you overly jittery.
On the negative side though, over time these medicines can build up in your system changing the chemistry of your over all body, and can potentially cause anxiety problems in the long run not to mention health problems once the body is adaquitly saturated in them.
*Wishing you happyness*
please listen to your doctor over what she says. i would recommend someone who specializes in adhd. if you would like to im me or email me its sk8tolive149 and then email is the same @aol.com i will do my best to help you because i have been through all of these struggles before.
Be careful about what advice you take. You do not simply want to go to your Doctor and get "hooked up" with medications.
Considering your history - it is understandable that you might be struggling with ADHD. But then again, maybe you are not. Start with telling your physician what you shared with us. Get a lot of support.
I am on the N. Shore area myself - and will try to brainstorm some options for you. The best advice of course would be to find an expert or specialist in dealing with Adult ADHD (assuming that diagnosis is correct).
Good luck,
Rory
