adderall and ritalin and strenuous exercise

I'm a 54 year old female, 5'1 and weight 105 pounds. I've been an avid runner all my life. I've been diagnosed with ADD approximately 6 years ago. I have been on Wellbutrin 300mg for a few years. Last year when I was on adderall I found that my bicycling or running would seem so so hard to do at my previous level. I would get shortness of breath and my heart would race extremely high. I'm still extremely unable to stay focused in a conversation or retain what I've read or listened to, plus being always disorganized no matter what I try. I'm a special ed teacher in a continuation high school which requires extreme focus and organized lesson plans. So I've decided to try Adderall again, which helped me extremely well. I want advice on ways to space taking the adderall and when I exercise. I don't want to take the extended release due to lack of control of the release of the med. So is there a recommended amount of time to let the adderall wear off so I can exercise and feel normal heart rate and breathing wise?

   The duration of adderall is listed as 4 to 8 hours (depending on the dose).  You might want to try ritalin as its listed as 4 hours max..
   Any chance that you were a bit out of shape due not being able to work out as much during the school year?  
   Do some trial and error.  Both meds will be out of your system by the next day.  Work out once on meds and then the next time without.  If you don't have one you might also want to get a heart monitor to help with your workouts and track what has been going on.

This is an addition of info to my question. I didn't make it clear that last summer when I had the breathing and racing heart problem I decided to discontinue the Adderall. So I've just been on Wellbutrin 300 this past year. I took Prozac 10-30mg for a few months, but have gone off due to sexual side effects. :)
