I'm a 54 year old female, 5'1 and weight 105 pounds. I've been an avid runner all my life. I've been diagnosed with ADD approximately 6 years ago. I have been on Wellbutrin 300mg for a few years. Last year when I was on adderall I found that my bicycling or running would seem so so hard to do at my previous level. I would get shortness of breath and my heart would race extremely high. I'm still extremely unable to stay focused in a conversation or retain what I've read or listened to, plus being always disorganized no matter what I try. I'm a special ed teacher in a continuation high school which requires extreme focus and organized lesson plans. So I've decided to try Adderall again, which helped me extremely well. I want advice on ways to space taking the adderall and when I exercise. I don't want to take the extended release due to lack of control of the release of the med. So is there a recommended amount of time to let the adderall wear off so I can exercise and feel normal heart rate and breathing wise?
