i need your help please.

Hi.  I am a 23 year old college student working on my BA in Psychology.  I am doing my graduation project on adults with ADD and ADHD because I too am ADD and was just diagnosed last summer.  I designed my project by looking at blogs but am having a lot of trouble finding the information I am looking for.  If you could help me and just let me know the following information about yourself it would be greatly appreciated.

Gender
Age of diagnosis
Any medications tried or currently being used.
Any types of therapy, psychiatrist, individual, group, or family.
ADD or ADHD Coach
Attention training
Also anything else that you have tried or found helpful such as diet, excercise, routine, organization, etc.

I'm sure you get the gist of the kind of information I am looking for.  If you could just let me know what worked and didn't it would be greatly appreciated. My project will be confidential so don't worry about names or anything.

Thanks!
Jennifer

Hi! Kudos to you on going to school, especially when you have ADD. It's tough, I know! I was diagnosed with ADD four years ago, at age 33. I am female. I believe I have had ADD at least most of my adult and teen life. I have been on Focalin for most of those four years, and it has helped immensely. I started at 5 mg and finally did have to increase to 20 mg a day, due to other issues regarding bipolar disorder. I was working on my BS (in Psychology) from 2004 - 2008, and having the medication for the last two of those years made all the difference. I went from having to read and re-read my assignments over and over to try to make sense of them to being able to sit and focus well. Other things that helped me were learning how to be very organized (although I still struggle occasionaly) and make lists, lists, lists. Sorry for the long answer -- I hope this helps.
