O.k., I KNOW this is weird, but...I seriously don't understand why people have reading material in their bathrooms.

I'm not sure that the bathroom is exactly the place I want to sit back and read a good story ya know? LOL......I'm thinkin', that if you have to read to pass the time in there, doin' your thing, that maybe it wasn't time to really go in there yet......or you need some bran....

My husband has irritable bowel and will feel like he has to go but has problems (constipation).  So, he always has something to read or actually we have a yatzee handheld game in there for him!!!  LOL!!!!

Sometimes I'll have 3 of our 6 cats in there with me (and the dog)..the 3rd cat likes to set on the shower in between the curtain and liner while i'm taking a shower which has nothing to do with readin material.

Jacqui...since you asked I'm sure nobody else is reading this personal info. Yes, I have reading info in my bathroom for several reasons. One of them is we have a huge cabinet in there that is useless for daily stuff...so it's storage for books. Another one is focusing on something else helps me relax for the other task. I grew up in a house where everyone read in the bathroom....my nieces have done it since they were little and couldn't read...just looked at the toy catalogs. Lastly, I can go in there and tell my husband it will be awhile and get some peace and maybe read part of my book which would NEVER happen if I was trying to read it out here in the living room w/Hubby & Tank.

used to use it as a nice escape from the turmoil when my kids were young..couple cigarettes, read a little bit of the paper, accomplish some natural tasks, etc.  My current wife couldn't understand it and I ultimately gave it up because I couldn't read without my glasses and I didn't take them in there, plus now I have 2 cats and a dog who seem to find the goings on therein somewhat fascinating.  Well, the dog just wants to be wherever I am..the cats..who knows what they want...one likes to observe the flushing of the toilet..another likes to watch me brushing my teeth (ever try to spit toothpaste out with a cat's tail going back and forth across the sink?) and walk around the counter knocking things down...
