Bladder control

Has anyone had difficulty urinating or not being able to hold it, due to either meds or their disc issues? This is kinda embarrassing but I have been having "leakage" during sexual intercourse and I have had to push really hard to empty my bladder at times...has anyone else had this experience or know anything about this?

Thank you for your time...

Yeah I know it can happen after childbirth, but my kids are 12 and 9 and I would think if it was going to happen b/c of childbirth it would happen sooner. This just started happening in April 2008..it cam out of no where. Plus I thought I read something about narcotics and bladder issues and I do have spinal issues too...but thx for the info.

LOL, This also happens alot in women that have had childrn or just with age.
For women, Kagel exercises can help alittle and will also improve sex. I don't know if men can do those exercises, can they? lol

urinary retention is a common side effect of opiate use. other medications can cause this as well. urinary stress incontinence is not a side effect of the medication per se but with chronic retention comes the loss of elasticity of the bladder muscles.

I have had difficulty getting the stream started when i am on opiates.  it is as if your nerves are not connected to your brain.
