I think Geogia is looking at the US as it's big brother, and that we will come to their defence even if they do something wrong.
The US cannot get involved in every countries problem. The decision to get involved should not be based on what we can gain.
usarmymedic.......... Good answer. How have you been? We miss you around here.
no If the European comunity wants Georgia in NATO then they need to stabalize the country themselves first. The U.S. should support its NATO allies to a point but no Troops. The NATO countries need to learn what allies mean not just when it concerns them.
My theory is.....McBush goes up in the polls if there is threat of war.
Poland didn't agree to the base until after the Georgia/Russia thing, right ?????
I"m looking for conspircy theories. I have no life. lol
(where the heck is my spell check) grrrrrrrr new puter.
(Hope you like this one, Mary. ;) )
You know, this is a complicated issue. You have to look at one of the largest incendiary factors;
America recently reached agreement with Poland to set up an American Missile Base on Polish territory.
A great deal of what Russia is doing is simply their response to what they see is American aggression and hostility, both in the middle east and Eastern Europe.
Now, that said, I won't deny that I'm sure Russia has been itching to take back some of its lost territories for some time now.
The big question then is;
Why Would George Bush go out of his way to deliberately incited hostilities and give Russia such a FABULOUS excuse to start snapping up countries like Georgia???
Ok here's your lesson for the day. lol
Georgia became a very, very small country after the break up of the
Soviet Union. There are a couple of cities on the outskirts.(I forget the names) The people in these cities considered themselves Russians. Georgia wanted to include these cities, so what about a month ago they started to invade. Now I ask you........why would a tiny country like Georgia go pissing a huge power like Russia off like that. Makes me wonder if someone didn't make some promises. Well, Russia pretty much came back and sqished them and said don't F with us.
P>S. McCain has a lobbiest for Georgia working in the campaign and has taken large sums of money from them.
Now Putin says he can prove that our government was involved.
The plot thickens...............
Mary watches nothing but the political news....I'm pretty hooked too, but not as much as Mary. You should here us driving to work talking politics !!
Theres more to this Georgia/ Russia thing than meets the eye. The US (Bush/McCain) had a there dirty hands in there somewhere. Russia would like to prove that, Then we're in deep do-do.
NOOOOOO NOT MY T.V !
I was just thinking of getting a little one so I could listen to MSNBC at work.
DAM I HAVE SUCH AN ADDICTIVE PERSONALITY !
Ok, Mary.......thats it. I am taking away your tv privileges....lol
Don't no much about Georgia......State, maybe......thats it.
