With a prescription, or a note of medical necessity, a hot tub (aka spa or Jacuzzi) can be purchased with funds at are not subject to income tax via a 125 plan through your employer if they participate, also known as a flexible spending account or cafeteria plan at some companies. You still have to pay for it but the fact that you don’t have to pay taxes on the money and in most cases is payroll deducted over a year helps.
Man, that sounds great. A free jacuzzi paid for by the government. I know my mother-in-law who has grippling arthritis would love that. It really ***** though. She has worked hard her entire life and now that she is physically unable to, she can't qualify for medicare or anything right now. I think it is horrible the way the government is to people who have worked hard and not taken anything from the government, but when they are in dire need of assistance they can't get anything. It all goes to the ones who have done nothing their entire lives. Sorry to get on my soap box, but this is a very touchy issue for me, in that we have been fighting for over 15 years to get her some form of assistance and we get turned away every time.
i once had an order for that, but it wasnt for a home jacuzzi, it was for water therapy at a phyiscal therapy place. they tried all kinds of **** for my back-none of which worked and in fact the PT exercises made my pain way worse. Even the cortisone injections into my spine (LESI) made me worse afterwards. I feel for you! my back has been giving me a really bad time lately and it scares me!
Shell.....Your doctor should be able to write you one...VicUser was the one who spoke about it a while back, and he'll be around in a couple of hours, so if he doesn't see your post, I'll tell him about it okay?
I'm sorry you are in constant pain, or anyone is for that matter, including myself...It's an awful way to live....
