As all have said you should bet blood work w/liver panel. I had bloodwork done after 14 days clean and it came out fine after 8 years of using oxys. There is an herb you can take which helps detox and regeneration of the liver it is called Milk Thistle and you can get it at the pharmacy.
Try not to worry. You don't even know if your liver NEEDS healing. They can take a lot by design and have the ability to regenerate. If you had a liver problen, you'd be symptomatic. As Brian and Toby have said: Get a good, comprehensive medical check up with some blood work. That will put your mind at ease. 22 days is great. Keep on going and do stay away from the alcohol,as well!
It depends on the extent of the damage if there was any. No one here can really give you a definite answer. Your best bet is to go get some blood work done just to be safe. That is really the only way too know if there is any damage. If there is damage the only way to know if it is healing is to continue getting a liver function test done. If the damage isn't too extensive sometimes it can't heal on it owns. I believe that there are some prescription meds that can aide in healing if there was a certain amount of damage done. Sometimes it takes more than medication to try and fix the issue. The sooner you start getting treatment for it, the better.
I'm sure someone else can give you some better info though.
Jeff,
One of the first things I did once I got clean was to get comprehensive bloodwork done. I was worried about the same thing you are. I got my blood tests done on Day 10. They came back 2 days later. Very low levels of oxy still showed up but I didn't care. I made peace with that. Don't quote me but I think it takes a good 2 weeks to get out of your bloodstream and 72-96 hrs to get out of your urine. Like I said, I could've cared less as this was not a work related blood test but instead for my own peace of mind.
The good news was that the only bad thing was my triglycerides and I don't really give a damn about my triglycerides as I've never really met them.
Get some comprehensive bloodwork done to ease your mind. I'll bet you're okay but it's better safe than sorry. That's how I felt....better safe than sorry. Your liver & kidneys will thank you for your effort and your mind will relax when you find out your status. Best of luck!
