We had our Australia Day celebrations yesterday 1/26
Had a great day,
A lot of people are still trying to clean up after the floods,but everyone has pulled together,50,000 people have volunteered to help with the clean-up over the last 2 weeks.In a country of only 22 million people it shows how we can all come together when necessary.
Latest update on the death toll-22 confirmed deaths,8 still missing,They don't know if they'll ever find all the bodies.

That's a great coat of arms! Something I definitely never knew. Very interesting and the way everyone pulled together due to the floods it is very true.

The 2 animals on our coat of arms are the kangaroo and the emu the reason these 2 animals were chosen was because they cannot move backwards,hence Australia will always move forward.

The floods Down Under is so tragic and sad. I pray that they can at least find the bodies. Even if the family members of the missing know that they are deceased it would be hard to find closure. I would think you would still have a tiny glimmer of hope not knowing for sure what really happened. The whole ordeal is so sad. Not only the deaths but also the havoc and destruction the floods caused.
It's amazing how complete strangers pull together in a time of need.
