The pills of false happiness

So now, my child, your pain is intense,
or life in general doesn’t make any sense,
so let me introduce you to my pill of wonder,
and soon you will feel its glorious thunder.

But honey, before you start fooling with me,
just let me inform you of how it will be,
for I will seduce you and make you my slave,
I've sent those much stronger than you to their grave.

You'll steal from your mother and just for a buck,
you'll turn into something vile and corrupt.  
And when you suddenly realize the monster you've grown,
you'll solemnly promise to leave me alone.

But the hot chills, the cold sweats, your gut tied in a knot,
will have your whole body screaming for one more shot.
You’ll scramble, steal, and lie to get what you lack,
And into your arms once again you’ll welcome me back.

Till death do us part.

My friends, I found this on another post, altered it somewhat, and I thought I would post it and beg that you continue your fight.  The Devil CAN be beaten, no matter what the poem says, whether it's through the grace of God, your own internal convictions, your love of life, or your love of others.  This forum is a testiment to his defeat.  Your love, compassion, support, and beautiful hearts WILL prevail.  You all are the best people on earth, in my opinion.
