This is from left field and kinda related to drug probs

Is there any wonder we are addicted to drugs?  Gas prices are driving this country into the groud and politicians REFUSE to do anything about it.  Food is getting so expensive that more Americans are now forced to choose between food and their prescriptions.  1000 trucking companies have closed in the past 6 mths, Home Depot is closing stores but you dont hear about things like this on the news because the govt dose not want us to know exactly how bad things really are.

I realzie this is not a poltical message board but unless we wake up we will be living in a socialist society working for the govt and paying $10 a gallon for gas.  In a way this is realted to my healing as today is day one, again, with no norcos and I'm extremely PISSED AT THE WORLD!  I would love to get my hands on any member of congress and tell them EXACTLY how I feel about them....worthless bastards.

Please forgive me...I do not intend to offend anyone but this gas thing is effecting my business in a way that I wont have a business much longer if fuel prices continue to rise.  So as yoiu can see...I'm mad at myself for getting hooked on drugs, politicans are driving me out of business and both candidates we have for president are the worst I have ever seen.  CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!

I remember reading a recent article that said someone tried to arrange a protest in California over gas prices. The idea was if for two weeks, everyone filled up thier tanks when the where half empty instead of fully empty, it would drive gas prices back down (it was actually a feasible idea).

It was a great idea and hardly ANYONE did it. Everyone said it was too big a hassle and they couldn't be bothered unless they were SURE others were doing it.

Remember this the next time you're upset over gas prices.

The news media certainly paints a grim picture and then we see it in the prices we pay for everything!!
Good news though, I have been looking for a new job and have had many interfiews so someone is making money and hiring. I think there is hope out there, it's just hard to see right now.
I second the Calgon motion-LOL!!

I hear you guys loud & clear on this. I used to not worry about going places but since we are a single income family now....I try to run all our errands in one day and really map out a route! My best friend lives 45minutes away so I don't get to see her much b/c I drive an older car which I plan on keeping so I can be a stay home wife & mom and it doesn't get great gas mileage. I have steadily watched the price of groceries and diapers etc increase to the point I just want to cry sometimes....I may have to go back to work just so we can make it due to the increases....it's crazy! I try not think about it... and we live in a part of the country where gas isn't as high as some places...$3.89/gallon.
