I remember the post but not who posted it. I know it was of the regulars here though..
Who was the one who wrote about the night she had come home and pulled in her driveway, shut off the car and could hear noises outside. She was scared to get out of the car, wanted to call the cops(i think) or thought about it cuz she could still hear the noises and finally remembered she had Halloween decorations in her trunk?? I still laugh when i think of that one!!!!!!
yeah humor like that..............
How's this?
Frequent Flyers...
On a busy Friday afternoon, while the passengers are patiently waiting for their flight to begin, two men dressed in Pilots' uniforms walk up the aisle. Both are wearing dark glasses, one is using a guide dog, and the other is tapping his way along the aisle with a cane.
Nervous laughter spreads through the cabin, but the men enter the cockpit, the door closes, and the engines start up.
The passengers begin glancing nervously around, searching for some sign that this is just a little practical joke but none is forthcoming.
The plane moves faster and faster down the runway and the people sitting in the window seats realize they're headed straight for the water at the end of the runway.
As it begins to look as though the plane will plough into the water, panicked screams fill the cabin.
At that moment, the plane lifts smoothly into the air. The passengers relax and laugh a little sheepishly, and soon all retreat into their magazines, secure in the knowledge that the plane is in good hands.
In the cockpit, one of the blind pilots turns to the other and says, "You know, John, one of these days, they're gonna scream too late and we're all gonna die."
we can sign my neighbor up as Mrs. Cravis? you know she is forever wearing her house robe and hiding behind her blinds and can tell me what's going on at my house before I even know. lmfao. I think we all pretty much have one of those kinds of neighbors
There's nothing funny about mental illness either, but I had to laugh when someone told me the other day that I remind them of "Bewitched", because my moods change so much from day-to-day...I still think it's pretty funny...and observant!!
Thank you guys that is what I am refering to as addiction is not funny just about as funny as cancer which is nill. I am refering to everyday laugh I guess this is what I refer to when I say this site has changed. if this offends anyone than please by all means read it in its entirety. It is basically self explanitory so to sum it up I agree with eagle the wise one here that laughter is the best medication at times. Thanks again
Sometimes you have to laugh at how absurd things become..,.Laughter is the best medicine. And that is what this board is all about. It isnt as funny to do the flat out substance issus 24/7 - - - - Open that Cafe back up Domino - just try and find some Hawaiin or Jamaican grind for me, please......
We are not making fun of addictions or incarceration here at all. Mike has been here since April(I think) and we all had alot of discussions about many things on this side. This side is for us to talk about anything........usually this is the lighter side. Sometimes we just have to step back and lighten it up. We used to have a after dark cafe for us late nighters to come and just chat it up. I hope this will clear a few things up. sara
I guess I am the only one missing something here....... I really don't find relapse a big haha, and I don't find incarcuration a big ga-faw either...... maybe it is just me, I think I have a pretty good sense of humor, while living with an addict for the past year.....my baby, that I will and would and have done anything for......but the reprecussions from her drug addiction, really don't get my rocks off. Perhaps in time we can laugh about all of that, but not so sure I am that big of a person. And she is doing great, so no bitterness here, I am extremely confused of what you are looking for....... Instead of being so incredibly disappointed, why not start a new thread with something we can all share a laugh? Quite frankly, I would apprieate that a whole lot more than some blind critique.
Ok, this isn't really funny, but it's something to think about. I saw this the other day: The Recovery Elevator Is Broken! Use the Steps!!( all 12 of them )
remember the poll where the guys were debating about scruffy face or clean shaven? Then we came up with our, shaving our legs or now.
evolution brought us from being chimps in the trees so it was definitely progress so I sure hope evolution is not going in reverse here... I think it might just be standards and people not leaving myself out here not ve to this site adding their own positive input to this site. My love to all my hommies here in the hood.....
Yeah I hope so I remember the fur cuffs but I hate them damn bracelets any way they come. I just had to deal with that nonsense again after ten years of not wearing them. Ugh..Yeah my sense of humor has gone dormant as well due to the economy and of course this addiction and a few other things that are of recent for me but I will overcome as I have no other optin that is an acceptable one by my standards for myself. So get ready and lets hear some funny sh t. Oh yeah I hate when I lose track of my ovulation days that ***** bad so I will do a better job at tracking those lil eggies from now on......
Yeah, my sense of humor has gone down the drain right along with the economy. Hopefully things will be better for everyone soon.
Hi Mikie !!........its good to see you back. Its called evolution. It just happens. Maybe if you come back around more often. Things will be back to the way you want them.
Luv,
nauty...............
Oh this one was too funny.........remember when you and Crispy were all about the ovulation tracker???!!!!! I still laugh about that one!!!!!
Well all I can say is Let The Good Times Roll
Yeah I miss the fun we had here but as of late things seemed to have changed
