What Better Way...

To end or greet the day than by listening to an old live copy of Loius Armstrong doing "Hello Dolly!"

G'night all! (tapping toe and humming...argh...) now I'll never get to sleep!!!

Ah well, eventually i'll collapse with exhaustion, but be happy and cheerful when it happens. ;)

Song ends... ONE MORE TIME!!!!!

It seems it isn't in print any more. The only option I can find to buy it is a "Best of Album"...which I may be stuck getting. Ah well...

I believe that song is on their first album..it's a biographical song about the group.

A song stuck in your head? courtesy of moi?!?!

Evil Savas strikes again!!!

Small evil...*happy sigh*...:)

Ella is a big, black Goddess who deserves to be worshipped. My favorite female jazz vocalist is Ernestine Anderson, who did a great album with the title song; "You never make your move to soon."

I just came across a you tube clip of Lou Armstrong and Dean Martin doing a medley of songs together which is so great it makes you laugh!!!

Starbucks is insidious with music. i heard them playing that old Mamma's& Pappa's  song; "Nobody's getting Fat, Except Mamma Cass."

last week and have spent a great deal of time trying to locate the original album, to no avail.

You see?!?!?

Starbucks!!!

Large Evil!!!

I have a number of Louis Armstrong CDs (and a couple with Ella Fitzgerald) I need to dig out..I love him..to me "What a wonderful World" is among the best..I want to pull over and cry evertime I hear it.  With the world such a mess, it truly is a wonderful world when we listen to Louis.

And I also love Hello Dolly...gonna head out and find those CDs in a few mins.

On the subject of music, I like all kinds (particularly the Grateful Dead :-) a couple weeks ago was in a starbucks with my son (who manages one near Atlanta) and bought a copy of some classic country music, with some tear jerkers.  I love classic country and this is one of the best CDs in my collection.

By the way..if you like the music offered by Starbucks get to your nearest one soon...they seem to be phasing out the music they sell, returning to "the basics"..they've put out some great collections.

It's so nice to have you back where you belong........singing along.

I have a friend that can imitate Armstrong singing that.  It's so funny, she just a little petite thing. lol
Now I won't be able to get that song outta my head. Thanks alot.
