oxycodone vs. oxycotin

HELP!!!! Can someone please tell me the difference before it is prescribed to my mom after surgery.

Oxycodone is short term and oxycontin is slow release for long term. Very addicting. Have her get off now before she gets addicted. I have been on them for 3 to 4 years and they say that if you take it for the right reason, (for Chronic Pain) you will not get addicted. Thats bull. I am addicted and withdraws are so bad. This poison ruins lifes. Get her off now. It also makes your pain worse and makes you feel like you need stronger like it isn't doing anything and you have to take more. It is poison to your body.
I would get her off now.

I think one is just time released (oxycontin) while the other is regular but you know it is really easy to find this info on the internet -- just google it.
