the treatment of hyperemesis gravidarum and pot use

Just wondering what you guys think of this. I personally believe that the benefits outweight the risks when dealing with a severe disease such as this, and so far... I've been pooped on by just about everyone. So i m supposed to starve and lose weight vs smoking a bit and being able to keep food down and gain weight? Hmmmmmm.

Geez...don't be mad at us. No one here will tell you you're a bad mother.

Understandably, your doctors are not going to tell you to smoke some pot so you need to do what you think is proper. You're a smart, liberal thinking woman. After you weigh out the benefits and risks you'll make a decision.
The smoking does cause an immediate reaction with blood flow, I'm sure you know that...so factor it all together.

I really believe that most people are okay with pot and don't see it as bad.
Unfortunately, being pregnant changes things for you because so much is bad for the fetus. You just need to weigh how bad it really is...

Good luck and feel better-

I bet that if the government didn't put all those scare tactics out there and label marijuana as a baaaaaad drug ppl would see it for what it is. Fact, its been PROVEN to be extremely beneficial to cancer and aids patients and more, the gov't sees this and denies all of it yet they can't seem to come up with actual evidence that it harms... and for those that think I'm a horrid mother... google hyperemesis gravidarum and learn something.

No flack from this corner. Appetite enhancement for AIDS patients was a major factor in the medical marijuana movement in California originally. And there are many other pro's. A few cons also - any intelligent individual would have to say that inhaling any burning smoke couldnt be considered healthy. But if you do a benefit/risk analysis I agree with you.
