[122 Tactical Fighter Group]

After having several people all gung ho to quit narcs over the weekend; I think most made it about 28 hrs and conked out.  Anybody got any idea how many make it compared to how many come through here? I am thinking that if 30% make it it would be impressive .......  And hopefully the people availing themselves of the use of this forum are doing better than average.........what does anyone else think?

i have heard very low odds make it for the entirety.. sadly i would have to guess lower than 10%

Dude - - good advce for a great many others that are here and yet to come - - But I am into 2 years and I wouldnt ever allow myself to have to do it again.............its too good here to leave!!    Life is so good today = = = I goota go meet some Scouters to do an Eagle Scout Board Of Review for a fine young man in the Community! - - - I wouldnt have it any other way!! ------    SEE YA SOON..........eagle

Ask yourself why the odds are against you. It is because of all these negative comments by so called-experts. If they would give you a hand up instead of trying to establish that there is no hope the odds just might turn in your favor. If you would quit listening to and believing all this negativity the odds in your favour increase. As I have stated many times to many here, you and you alone are the catalyst that puts you on track. Build your self a mental wall and place a mental sign on it saying," Negativity not welcome." Lock the gates and then start doing what you want in  order to gain some momentum into what''s ahead. The light bulb was a joke, the locomotive was a pipe dream, the computer was laughable, flying across the ocean would never happen, etc.etc.etc. We have all these things because the people behind them refused to listen and tried to end someone's dream with words that were totally negative but they stayed the course and proved that their positivity was king.. You must do the same, Do not listen to the," Can't be done,  dream on, you gotta  be joking," and so on and concentrate a on the word,"CAN." It's a small word but it carries a lot of power if you use it when things get bogged down. That word will help you pull yoursel up and out of the muck and onto solid ground. Your answer to ,"You can't do it," should be," "You don't know me, I know who I am and what I can do and I am going to prove you are wrong, so just step aside  while I put this train in motion because once I get going everything and everyone had better get out of my way?" Then with every station stop, post another mental sign saying, "See you at the next stop."

Yes even less that have been clean since I have been here .However there have been a few and I am proud of all of them

It is scary.....the odds are against us.  I even look at all the people who came on when i did and not many are around...........

Exactly, it's a super small percentage. They used to tell us in detox that only 1 out of 3 people would be clean/sober for a year. Like AA/NA's "success rate" is less than 20% - granted that's sketchy cuz of the anonymous portion but either way it's a scary number.

I can't remember where I read it and I will try and look for it, but I read that 89% don't make it....very sad

Hopefully now with The FDA and The DEA cracking down again, things will change.
