For others who do not have such an easy sub detox from a slow taper, realize that is normal as well. It always reduces the symptoms, but it can still be intense for many. I've seen people jump at higher doses and do fine and then others who taper down and it takes months to feel stable again. It really is an individual experience, no matter how one does it, but it's always worth the worst of it eventually.

Kuku, I hope this doesn't offend you. I just have seen people get their expectations up because they did it the way someone else did and didn't work the same. Just looking out for my friends.

I've stopped hundreds of times over the past >30 years only to start again, and coming off Suboxone this time was the easiest time of any of them.

This is the 22nd day since I finished my taper. I only had one night right after I stopped where it felt like I might not go right to sleep, so I got up to watch TV. Within a few minutes was I yawning so I went back to bed and right to sleep. I've felt good all along, and couldn't have felt more "normal" than I have over the past week.

Having an easy time detoxing was no doubt a blessing, to us both. But it's the manner in which we both worked the taper, slowly and down to almost nothing before we jumped, that made it that way. .

That is awesome. Surely you know, but each time we quit it gets harder. You were blessed with an easy detox, so you are lucky to feel good enough to dive I to aftercare right away. So glad you are feeling good. Guard that feeling like your life depends on it, because it does.

Congratulations. The way things were going for you I'd have been surprised if you had any withdrawal symptoms come on after the first few days.
