11 days off of Tramadol

Hey guys.. I haven't been posting too much here lately, but I've been catching up on alot of things that weren't taken care of while I was 'Out Of Commission'.. So, wanted to give ya guys the scoop on how life's being handled NOW! lol

11 days off of Tramadol.. it was a little bit of hell coming off of them, but only with the help of everyone in this forum! Talk about a Godsend! I still say to this very day, I would have NEVER done it without you guys!

My sleep schedule is finally back on track, although the little one was sick early this morning (around 4am) and he woke up wanting something to drink.. and of course, for me to tuck him back into bed.. such a blessing to have the privilege of doing that! :D.. I stayed up, got the kids off to school around 8am, fell asleep for about two or three hours, woke up around noon or so, still feel pretty good..

I've been suffering from Chronic Fatigue Immunity Disfunction Syndrome (CFIDS) and Fibro Myalgia for many years now.. In addition to the Lupus.. My hemaglobin is GREAT, but there's still some underlying problems associated with these disorders.. I have to get my lungs checked very soon- and of course get another Echo Cardiogram, because years ago my Cardiologist performed this and discovered that I have a leakage on the right side of my heart (which is why I'm no longer a cop) and that my heart goes into slight spasms.. he said there were no blockages or anything, but that was back in 1997! So, I need to get these tests performed once again! Been a long time!

No back pain, just mild hip and leg (maybe occasional Lumbar pain) which radiates into the nerves and so on.. I've got severe nerve damage, but keep that under control with lots of stretching and exercises! :D

If I can get past the chronic fatigue and pass the tests for my heart and lungs, I'll be one happy camper! :D

I'm going onto the Chronic Fatigue and Fibro board to get more info on treatment here after bit, but wanted to update you guys on how things were going.. and again, thanks sooo much! Love you guys!

oh dam! I'm telling you what! Tramadol is like coming off of Benzos! It does the same as the benzos in regards to mood stablizing, but it's so addictive it's sick!
I started having Tolerance withdrawals while taking it (regularly too) and I knew it was time to get off the dumb things!
Best thing to get off of medication is Clonidine! Believe me, it worked miracles for me! I only used it for two days and I was fine afterward!
I hope this will definitely change your mind about Tramadol.. I still can't figure out why idiot doctors prescribe Tramadol for detox! Oh brother! Absolutely retarded! lol
Think about what I said though, in regards to the Clonidine.. They gave me the patch form, called Catapres patch.. works great!
