135 days today!

So today is day 135 and despite all the hell going on in my life I am still off the drugs and taking my Suboxone! I have been on Sub's for almost 5 months now and have 3 months til I finish the program! Suboxone has really saved me and opened my eyes to the way I had been living for almost 14 years of my life! I am only 27 so half of my life was wasted on drugs! Not anymore on Feb 25 2010 I decided to get my life back and start making better choices! So far so good!

Thank you so much I am working on stopping cold turkey today was day 2 and I felt very good i only took hydros for about 2.5 month so thank god i see the problem now.  well i slipped up today found a freaking pill so i took it only one but still I have to start over tommorrow everything will be ok it people like you that give me hope so please do share thanks

Wow 135 days.  That is a real inspiration for all of us on this site just starting the journey.  Thanks for sharing.  It gives me hope.

I am glad that it gives you hope! You really have to put your mind to it and just do it! I have had alot of stuff standing in my way and trying to push me down and get me back in the ol habbit again but I didn't give in to it! The program I am doing lasts 8 months and for the 1st month I had to go for ind. counseling 1 time a week and the rest of the time we have Group meetings every Fri. I had heard so many stories about Sub's good and bad BUT that was my ONLY choice and I had to go for it! So glad I did! Suboxone has gave me my life back and my will to live and love life again! I wish you the best and if you ever want to talk I am here!

I wish that I could do something to help all those young kids that will end up right where I was ! Stop them before they take the first one! Sad to say alot will never see that they are not in control of there life those of that do are lucky in more ways than we see!And themsome never get the chance too try and get help cause one day they just had to take more cause what they were taking just didn't get them as high as they wanted and then that 1 more ends up being 1 too many! I got so far down I didn't see a way out and luckily something in me made me step back and look at where I was headed. I found just a few days ago letters I had wrote when I was using and I cried! I talked about killing myself and had I not gotten on Suboxone it hurts to say but I know that I wouldn't be here.So not only would I be leaving a husband who loves me and would do anything for me but a 2 year old baby boy who needs his Mommy  to be there for him and to be CLEAN.I was a lost soul that addiction took over in so many ways! If I could keep even just 1 child from going down that path that I was on at 13 years old I would know that I did something so great for a young life! ok so before I start going on and on I am gonna stop!

how many mg's of the subs do u take? does it make u constipated?

I started out on 16 mg a day and now almost 5 months later i am taking 8mg!  My Doc cuts you down 2 mgs every month. i wish i could say that the sub's is the cause oNext Fri i get cut down to 6 mgs! I wish i could say that Sub was the cause of my constipation had I not already had very severe chronic const to begin with! i have heard from a lot of the ppl that are in my group that it does cause const! i will go 2 months of NOT using the br 1 time and it is like it is normal for me to go that long! BUT when it hits me and fills up as much as it can I get the worst tummy pain in the world! To the point I have to go to the ER! I have been dealing with this for almost 10 years now and nothing I do helps! Any suggestions out there? At this point I am willing to try anything!

Hahah yeah i am extremely constipated i kno its from the subs because i have never been this bad! I am back to 8 mg a day, does urs disslove in ur mouth?
