It works
thank you kyle. you actually responded when i first came on here. i appriciate that .And congrats to you for your continued success. i have cut all my sources. i quit drinking 1/12/2002, ten years ago. got in a motorcycle accident and the pills lasted after the pain was gone. today is 16 days and its good so far. thank you
First and foremost, if you haven't already, cut ALL sources to pills!
You should have contacted your doc, dentist, pharmacy and asked them to red flag you as an addict, or at least an abuser. If you have a dealer, avoid them. They don't give a crap about you. Friends with meds? If they are true friends, then you need to tell them about your trying to stay clean and ask them not to give you meds, no matter what. These are roadblocks that are crucial in staying clean. Then get to some meetings - NA, AA, whatever. If you have friends or family that you can talk to, do it. Be honest.
I too was hooked on Norco, and had the EXACT same thoughts, still do sometimes - I can do a couple over the weekend, no big deal. Then maybe a couple at this party coming up, and then... It never ends, and you know that it will not stop at a couple, especially if there are more in the bottle, calling to you.
Stay strong.
Hi there! Kill those thoughts! You can not do a couple pills and not do them every day! It simply doesn't work! 15 days is huge! It took a lot of work to get here and you sure don't want to do that again, right? I had a very tough day yesterday fighting urges! I am somewhere around 45 days clean! I'm telling you the urges were intense! The best advice I could offer is to 1, distract yourself! Do something, anything to get your mind off of them and focus on something else! 2. Remind yourself what you have been through these last 15 days! How hard it was, how much better you feel now! Fight through this and stay strong! You can do it! All the best!
