1st day off

Ok, ive been struggling with addiction problems for about 4 years now. About 3-4 months ago i had been clean off of opiates and benzos for 21 months, I started back at a profession that i knew probably wasnt the best and got right back into them. It is my first day off and im detoxing the old fashioned way.. the most bothersome symptom of the withdrawls is the restless legs.. other than eating bananas etc. what else can i do to help with the feeling that my legs are trying to get up and walk away with out me!? i was taking approx. 120 mg of oxycontin or more daily, i have done this before, i just cant believe i relapsed. PLEASE any feedback would help

walking helps as well even you can only go for short ones. I wraped my legs up tight in an eletric blanket .Then look into a program so you dont have to do this again ...you will do great

That's good advice.  I would add drinking apple juice, gatorade and heating pad on your legs.  At night, take a dose of Nyquil.  It has an ingredient that helps RLS some, but do not overtake it.  More is not necessarily better.

That's all I can think of!

you answered my questions on this thread. best to stick to one not so confusing.
you can get hylands restful legs at walgreen, walmart, magnesium and potassium supplements. take hot baths with epsom salt in it. did you go for any one on one counseling or attend any support groups when you stopped using last time?
