You DO know what to do, dodge the party. Take your fiance out instead for dinner and some lovin after haha. Think of how it feels the next day coming off of coke and booze, it's a nightmare and then our addiction gains a lot of strength and they cycle usually begins again. Keep posting, you will get through this.

maybe you can tell your friends the truth. explain that you just cannot be around that stuff and/or people on that stuff. if there is any "friendship" there, maybe this is how you find out. maybe someone else may need to hear it. you know they aren't really happy right now, and perhaps you will give them pause. please don't go no matter what! peace, sway

I was addicted to Coke most of 75-80 .  If I wanted to stop. I wouldn't go where they would be using and I needed to be  social. My strength may be less than yours, but I'm certain I would use even with 2 years clean. Not a good idea.

Don't go. Don't set yourself up for this man. You know as soon as you see the blow, what will happen. The mind changes so fast and it will be game on, not caring about the consequences. Are you craving already just thinking about it? Make the right choice, you have come so far. Congrats on almost a month, that is awesome:)

You are walking into the lions den. If you really want to stay clean you need to find a reason not to go.  The flu is going around.......
Actually this is a problem for most addicts. We just can't be around the stuff anymore. The chances of you using, if you go, are great. We need to make new sober friends.  I was lucky in this respect, I was the only addict among my friends. The problem for me is both my sister's are also addicts and we live together ( hard to make new sister's) lol
But really.......it's early on for you...........find a reason not to go.
Congrat's on 1 month !
