2.5 mg dosage of Haldol for detox or alcohol withdrawals
I was wondering should Haldol be used for detox or for treating withdrawals? Especially since Haldol stays in the system and has long term side-effects?
Haldol is harsh! It's an antipsychotic. I'm not sure what prompted your question. If it's for a person who is in the hospital being detoxed,it MIGHT be used by a physician for a patient who is hallucinating etc...but never at home.
If detoxing at home,the best thing to take is nothing as far as meds are concerned. The only exception would be a blood pressure med.
