Yeah, you will be fine if you just quit. You will feel it for a couple weeks and just keep feeling better with natural energy. Don't fall into the trap, the deeper you go, the harder it is to get out.
PS..Mine was prescribed for pain..Watch out for the clinics..Sometimes it is just the money they want..
I agree with atthebeach..Coming from someone who Jumped off at 30mg from a 12 year ride that was way up there. You can get out now and we will be here to help guide you. If you continue putting this in your body it will take that much more and longer to detox. You can do it Now..We will cheer for you all the way!!!!

You have only been on for 2 months with 15 mgs at the highest dose. Stop now you will be just fine.
Thanks. 2mg is the lowest my clinic will go on methadone. So I've just decided to go back and stick with it for a little while longer.
I cant even admit to knowing anything about Methadone, but; I took a full year to wean myself off 100mcg Fentyl Duragesic changed every 2nd day. I had been on that very high dose for a number of years. The wd symptoms were felt, but not as bad as I would have expected rushing the process.
You need to do whatever weaning process works.
As that old saying "Slow and steady wins the race".

I was on 15 mg for 4 days to begin with then got lowered to 5 mg bec I was sedated. Then they lowered me to 2 mg about a week after that. I started sept 13. I am thinking I just might go back to the clinic tomorrow and go every other day for a while to see if that will help with withdrawals.
Most seem to be past the major acute symptoms at 30 days, then 90 days is another major land mark for energy. You are on a low dose for a long time, so it may be faster, but I noticed that the duration doesn't decrease with a taper or low dose. The severity should be way less than most of the stories you see around here. How long where you on methadone in total? How fast did you taper to 2mgs if you where at a higher dose?
Protein shake, vitamin, cal/mag/zinc, and EmergenC help a lot with the symptoms and healing time. Eat a banana daily too. Epsom salt baths help with RLS and sleep. How are you feeling now?
