Please read. have a buddy on here who needs support

A member on here needs some big time support right now but I'm not going to call him out on it. I am going to ask the forum to pull together for him and remind him of why he shouldn't use. We all go through some rough spots and consider using. Sometimes we have to be reminded that using will only make things worse and won't make anything better. The outcome of issues in life will still be there whether we used or not. If we can just make it through "today" we never know what tomorrow will bring.
So please post and help him realize that using is not an option!
Thanks so much.

Brian

So good to hear Gizz! Look at ya, you came out here and ask for help, you went thru it and you're CLEAN, awesome, what a change!!! A few months ago, you'd have relapse and come on here afterwards, you're learning and you're becoming so strong... HUGE congrats to you.
Happy dancing on the dykes of Amsterdam for ya (!!!). xoxoxo. sophie.

Gizzy...you pulled yourself through another day...some up ,some down, but definitely a bad day clean is better than a good day using.
Go out and take those cravings out on the golf ball and whack them away
Enjoy life.

Thanks guys, really ty.

Sara you wanted to know what I would say to you if you were in my shoes? I would say suck it up and quit your whinning hahaha. Serious tho, I would tell you to let your emotions out, cry, get angry, call me names, just don't use cause you have come too far and drugs only mask the pain for a bit, then adds even more pain. Using is not an option. Get tough and snap out of it. Damn, I better take my own advice lol.

Sorry I was so negative yesterday guys:(

Sorry I posted for you Giz. I just know how it can be when we are having bad cravings. When having those rough days the addict part of our brain gets the best of us and we tend to forget that relapsing will not change the outcome of anything that is going on in our lives. When close to a relapse we don't think about anything at all except our doc. Trust me, I know. I have been there myself more than I can count. And what did the relapse do for me? It sucked me right back in to addictive addiction in a wink of the eye. I always looked back and wondered why did I screw up my sobriety. I know you know all of these things but when we are that close to relapse we don't remember anything about our recovery. Once the craving subsides you will get back to your normal way of thinking that we normally see from you. We all get hit with it every now and then. We are one big team here. We all need support at times no matter how much clean time we have under our belts.
I know you would do the same for me and for many others.
Tomorrow will be a better day. Hang in there!

Hi Gizzy,

I am so sorry that you have had a rough day.  I am so glad that I found this recent post and that you are home and still clean.  It's OK to get angry, its OK to crave, and it's OK to be negative.  Get it all out.  I think you have seen that you have tons of friends here on this site who care about you and support you.  You did the right thing by reaching out here.  Hang in there my friend, you are right - tomorrow is a new day.  Take it one second at a time if that's what it takes.  Keep posting, tomorrow you will wake up stronger for what you have done today.  Take care my friend.  S

Guys I am safe. I am home, but b itchy still lol. How dare you guys try to stop me from using what is wrong with ya'll, lol. I am sorry for being negative tonight, but i am not at that party and I am not gonna go get blow. Tomorrow is a new day and I will be back to myself again, I am sorry for being negative, that dont' happen much. Ty for the support and to everyone here-never ever let your guard down with addiction, even if your clean a year. I have been doing great and so happy, but it's been tough today and cravings happen to the best of us, we are addicts. Sometimes we have to take it one minute at a time instead of a day at a time. Keep fighting everyone, you give me strength:)

Ty B, your a good guy. Now get your *** here and lets go golfing and bass fishing:)
