90 Days Today!!

I dont even know where to start,,,,I am very proud of myself and if you would have told me 90 days ago that this is where I would be,,,I never would have believed you. In fact,,,I probably woulda laughed in your face or spit on ya LOL. I took a different approach this time around. It worked. I am back to the "old" new me and I feel great! Its been 8 long years of addiction and I cant believe all that I missed in life. But I have a second chance and I am in control now. I have reconnected with this world and live a productive sober life and,,,its not so bad. In hindsight I ask myself "Why did I wait so long?" Yes it sucked at times,,It hurt and everything got worse before it got better than one day when I thought I had lost that light at the end of the tunnel and small flicker appeared and grew brighter as each day passed. I got a campfire going on now. To all the members that supported me,,,Thank You soo very much,,I mean that from the bottom of my heart. :)) (((HUGS)))~Bkitty

Ha ha! Nope no Monroe piercing for me,,,Lucifer would have a fit (aka my mother) she already yelled at me about the piercings in my ears. So I guess now I gotta fugure out how to let go of Lucifer controlling my life and decisions,,,stayed tuned......

Congratulations that is fantastic.  I am new to this forum.  I am addicted to NF+.  I am on day 3 and feel like I am living in a nightmare, your post was encouraging. I hope I can make it throught even the next week  I feel very ill, so if I get to day 90 I will be so happy.

Bkitty - Congrats to you and I can't wait to say those words, it will be about May WHEN I do.  I'm so new I don't really know your story but I think it is so great we can all support each other and there seem to be a lot of people making great changes to their lives on here and it makes me feel positive and spurs me on.   I've got a little pilot light going right now so you enjoy that campfire girl!

Thank You everyone for all the support and kinds words. I did treat myself to something this past weekend,,,a few weeks ago I took my step daughter to get her ears pierced,,I decided that I wanted to get my ear (left) pierced at the top in the cartilage. When she pushed it thru it went "crunch" it hurt for a week and I couldnt sleep on my left side. Well I was informed by my step daughters friend that now a days you get both ears pierced and have pparrell percings ( I had 2 holes in my right ear-back in the day that was the style) so I got 2 piercings in my right ear and the top done again. Now they are both infected. Lucky me. Im too old for this crap. I just wanted to be a "hip" mom. Its pretty bad when you go to drop your kid off at school in the drop off lane and your kid tells you,,you cant go thru that lane because you need an adult with you. Ummm,,,,Im 38.

Congrats!! We never think we will start rolling in those clean days but you know what? You are doing it! You keep moving, continue doing what you're doing and great things will happen.
