OH I am sorry..Like the money making thing that the Phams & DRs got going????Ekkkkk
I don't disagree with anything you said, actually I completely agree with everything you said my point was merely that it is a natural byproduct of our abuse and that giving it a "name" was another way to sell people more product.....my sincere apology if I somehow offended you in any way...God bless.....peace and prayers.....
PAWS could be a lingering post detox or could be a flashback type experience in the following years. There seem to be a lot of folks with long term, strong opiate habits that have a return of mental and physical symptoms of withdrawal at about 6 months. I think I had the lingering detox PAWS, and I have had experiences where I was starting to feel withdrawals. It was like an anxiety attack, not so severe, but the stresses of life built up and I had cut back on my recovery program. I thought about how this is when I would usually use a lot. I talked to people and adjusted my life before I totally lost it. It definitely starts in my head. The thing is, I don't have a year yet, so I think I'm still detoxing and healing, maybe I've never had PAWS. I feel like I'm still detoxing.
Not every one is always going to agree!!!! We all are different are we Not!!!
God Bless..
My personal opinion it is what name/acronym the pharmaceutical(sp?) companies created to describe the brain's normal recovery process described in above post that will transpire regardless of whether or not you buy into their latest chemical magic potion. Just a byproduct of our abuse......just sayin'....peace and prayers.......
Hi Blue..I study a lot about this disease so I am going to read this off from some paper work I have..
After a person has become adjusted to a certain level of drug/experience removal of it affects the emotional/biochemical balance that has been established , the person then has to readjust to living without previous level of stimulation, ect..POST ACUTE Withdraws can last two years or more..It also has a emotional and physiological aspects that are very difficult to endure..
Now we just have to see..Ok Do not think about it..Just ride the tide...OK
Post-acute-withdrawal syndrome---the things that continue to affect your life.
