Tapering is the hardest of all to do. And, I always suggest that you have someone hold and dispense for you.
So, it looks like cold turkey for you. You need to be mentally prepared to do this. If you can take time off of work, do it. Set aside 5 or 6 days. Stock up on otc immodium and tyleol pm. Get soup and crackers and good bottled water. Keep pushing fluids. Mild exercise as soon as you can helps. Get a good book or rent some videos to keep your mind occupied.

It will be a lousy couple of days, but so well worth it in the end.

Forget the taper...go CT.
it's so much easier in the long run. Why drag it out? Don't pull the bandaid off slowly....just yank it off and be done with it!!

I vote for c/t too. Look in my journals for the Thomas recipe. It will help you. Heed the warnings about anti-depressants. It is doable. Everyone gets so worked up about w/ds. Yes sometimes they are bad but usually like a really bad flu for 3-4 days. Staying clean is the hardest part. Join NA if you can. Make a commitment to stay clean.
You really can do this. Lots of us have made it.

Look in my journals. Thomas recipe, also look at the amino acid one. Both have some good info.

It is crazy to look back and see our first posts. I started out with a couple good posts here, then christmas came and i got so smashed last christmas then posted that i was able to get drunk without using coke, i felt so proud and posted lol. Soon people were posting to me, telling me i shouldnt`be doing this, i have a problem with alcohol and just giving it to me hard, i was so fuckin pissed off, lol. Little did i know at the time they were right, not that im an alcoholic, but booze is a trigger for my coke use and they told me i was wrong. That post really helped me cause i realized my addiction is just not coke ,but drugs. I really appreciated the honesty and kick in the *** after i settled down, haha. We have come a long way since our first posts:)

So happy that you made it clean! Even better yet, you had decided to continue to give it away to others so that you could continue to keep it for yourself too (old NA saying :-)

Once again, thanks for all of your support and keep giving the Gift that keeps on giving!

Happy Holidays!
