WD *****, just remember they will stop. I know it's hard to do. I went the methadone route, but I regret it. I don't know anything about Subs. The one time I tried to go CT I went to the ER and they gave me a clonodine patch & valium, it helped a little.
Good Luck

Brian gave the best advice here. Great post my friend. Going thru withdrawls of some type is something that we just cant escape. Its all apart of our choice to be sober and live drug free lives. As sick as it may sound I embraced the wds. I chose to think of it as my bodys way of ridding me of those toxic devil candies. I wont give you my personal opinion on Suboxene or Subutex but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if u go that route EDUCATE yourself and speak with people who have used it. Cold turkey is tough but the physical part only lasts about a week. Then the REAL work begins. STAYING clean. I have seen SO many people so worried and focused on the wds but in my opinion that is the easy part. For me the physical wds were NOT the focus. My aftercare was. Have u got plans for staying clean? Our will power alone just isnt enough. NA meetings sponsors and therapy are CRUCIAL to stay clean. You CAN do this and we will be here 2 support u every step of the way. Good luck my friend. Dig deep. The strength IS in you.

I was in the same situation not to long ago, I went online and found a dr. in my area who perscribed suboxone,it was expensive, but It worked. Im off the loratab, and I've been going on and off the suboxone,I think this week I might be able to fully go off....The other day I took nothing except ibuprofen,it's not as good as many people on here but I figure it's a start:)...hope that helps.

Nothing will take away the withdrawals completely but there are some things that can help. Can you do and talk to your doctor? They often prescribed a med called clonodine. It's a blood pressure med that is used to aid in withdrawals. Also, if you look in the upper right hand side of the page you will see the "health pages". There's a lot of great info in there. Look into the Amino Acid Protocol". It lists a bunch of vitamins and supplements that can help. Exercise works wonders also. Take motrin for the body pains and take many hot baths throughout the day. Baths really help.

The worst of the withdrawals usually last about 5 days with days 3 and 4 being the worst. They start letting up after that. You just have to fight through and know it won't last forever. Stick around the forum and post. The support from others goes a long way.

Best of luck.
