Alcohol and cocaine addiction

Hi all,

I know it would be best to detox from alcohol in a hospital but that's not an option for me time. I'm trying to taper the alcohol but I don't know how well that works? It's also very hard to do... I'd rather go CT but I have no benzos to help so I'm not sure that's realistic or sensible? Can I taper down and step off safely? I was drinking about 1.5 l of vodka/ day at one point. I'm down to around  750ml now. Still way too much to just stop I think..

I'm less concerned about the coke, I did it before and it caused a nasty depression but it wasn't long lasting and there were no real physical symptoms. It seemed pretty much psychological, cravings etc. but no unbearable physical symptoms. Or am I deluded here? (Been taking about 2-3g a day)

Thanks for any helpful input.

you are correct in that alcohol detox should be monitored.
i just stopped, but i had benzos at the time and that is NOT recommended for anyone.  very dangerous and i did end up in the hospital anyway.
i do not think there is a safe taper for alcohol.  i don't know.
