All this energy but mentally drained..

It's over 2 weeks clean for me, I've been doing my same old routine since day 3, though yesterday and today are a mental challenge!!! I fell like getting up and concuring the world but then my mind says lay down and suffer. Don't really have a question just saying for those who care.. I wake up in the morning with so much energy and if I can't go out and use it im looking for something to bring my anxiety down a bit. It's like if I'm at home I can't have that type of energy or else I look for a high. Weird huh well NA is tomorrow that's class 2.

Hi Heaven, that was a giant component of much of early recovery for me ... the almost inability to stay home and feel ok.  Idk if i felt antsy but it was difficult and i had to keep doing something, i could not just sit.  or else i'd think about all the things i didn't want to think about.  it was hard.  i think in early recovery your body and brain are kind of in shock in a way.  it's too early to really deal with all the feelings and thoughts so you sort of fill the time and try to keep busy.  Glad you are getting aftercare, you sound good.  keep going!

You have to be careful with GABA.   Too much can produce shortness of breath, and prolonged use has been linked with increased blood pressure.
