Am I allergic to alcohol?

I think I may be allergic to alcohol, although the only symptom I have is burning in my stomache, and nausea after only a sip of any kind of alcohol.  I think I may be allergic to it, but just have a mild case.  Is this possible?

One thing I have never understood about Dr. Steve is that if he really cares about addicts why does he only come to this forum every couple of weeks to help.  Some of the people that get to write questions are desperate and waiting for his help could kill them.  And why does he limit it to one a day driving people to put a question on a thread and beg someone to help.  If not for the help of our own Dr. Thomas and so many others so many people would still have all their problems.

thanks for the compliment in the first thread. I would never tell someone else how to react to this waste of a perfectly good medical school diploma, but I for one refuse to beg him for anything. His total lack of effort in moderating this forum for the past one and half years is a disgrace. Want proof? Go to some of the other forums on med help and read the thoughful, considerate and HELPFUL posts by the doctors there. Then compare them to Dr Steve's. I could grab an eleven year-old off the street, teach him, oh, three phrases, and he/she could take Dr Steve's place on this forum and no one, especially Danielincc, would know the difference. I call for Dr Steve to resign and allow another doctor to moderate this forum. As far as I'm concerned, Dr Steve, you're fired.

I just believe that Dr. Steve really doesn't like any of us here.  Not many doctors do, after all.  What more can I say?

Well, I am a newcomer so sounds like you would know better.  But I hope that Beth goes through with her threat to start a new board. To be honest, I was really offended that Dr. Steve didn't like the "tone." That "tone" and the help from everyone here is what's getting me through. That bothered me even more than him pulling threads.  Guess he just doesn't think they're signficant enough to archive and that's his call is the way I look at that. And as for Dr. Dan or whoever he is, even though I don't know the history on that, I can see he's some kind of psychopath. But the web page with email addresses of whoever wants to send them to me will be there just in case. I feel a real bond to the people here and I want to make sure we can communicate in the future.

I'm still here, the victim of more red tape. The nurse calls me this morning wanting all my medical records from Social Security before anything can be done.  I've been a patient of the VA for two years now....and they want more proof that I have chronic liver disease?  Whoa!

Then I find out that my SS records are not being kept in my home county's SS office.  Now I have to drive 32 miles to the next county to get anything done....has something to do with my zip code number or some such BS.  Plus their phone has been busy all morning so I can't even....oh, what the hell! My blood is boiling!

Aren't you glad you asked about me?
