Another "how long" query

Another vicodin user here, that was taken off of it "cold turkey"  Dr. didn't even warn me that there would be withdrawals.
Have felt many of the symptoms mentioned here, hot flashes, panic, queasy stomach/inability to eat, light sleeping- when sleep happens.
I have been off the drug for a bit over 3 weeks... is there an end in sight?

The drug insert tells u hydrocodone is addictive//when u pick it up u sign or initial that u know the s/s of the drug u r picking up...if u do not understand the drug then the pharmacist is available to fill u in...whan u sign u state u understand...and the internet is also a resource for those who want to learn...I am assuming ur dr figured u knew narcotics were addictive...he may shoulda told u as well//but a very small percent of the population actually becomes addicted///or doctors would not rx them...they r rx-ing them less and less...as there is still a segment of the population who have no clue narcotics are habit forming//or who do not care//a small segment which includes elderly and those who can not read///and this segment is out there in our country....it is up to us to take charge of what we put in our body

a prescribed dose of any narcotic should be well out of ur system physically at 3 weeks....even an abused dose would be gone by now....mental wds are left behind for true addicts and can last for a few months///90 days is usually the mental turning point...a person who is only physically addicted to narcotics is over wd in less than a week,,and this is assuming they were not abusing//but a physically dependent person is not inclined to abuse/./only and addict...an addict has the mental component of narcotic use which includes a few months of fatigue and depression//perhaps insomnia and anxiety

if u r still having the runs, headaches, nausea and etc...true physical wd symptoms after a prescribed dose after 3 weeks without the drug//u really need to see if sumpin else is wrong////unless u were u on methadone or suboxone? these 2 drugs do have physical wds for this amount of time

I re-read and u were a vicoden user...so at 3 weeks u should be over physical wd/if u r an addict//then the mental wd is hitting u hard about now

My name is Laura and I am an addict..I take responsibility for my abuse of pills and realize there is no one else I should blame for abuse except me...I know this is a disease and sumpin I have to keep in check for the rest of my life...cos I know addiction does not go away...I know I have to take it day by day and seek the support I need//and always watch my back..especially when I feel scared, weak or vulnerable

But I am me..and u r u....we have to come to terms with our own needs....

be safe and keep posting
