Anyone have exp. with a detox clinic

Hi !!!  I can't tell you how much you have all helped me so far. Can't wait to return the favor.  Anyway I am currently trying.... to taper down from 20 10mg lorcet a day to something less before going to the clinic on the 14th.  Has anyone tried the suboxone tabs yet for wdls?????  I've been taking the stupid lorcet for 6 years now and i finally feel ready to take my life back. The 24 hour detox proc. sounds to good to be true (not to mention way tooo expensive)  So I have opted for the suboxone tx.
Any info about what to expect would be appreciated.  I am a 38 yr old female scared of wdls.

HI Chezz, thanks for the welcome back. I am glad to see you posting again! You know, Chezz,and everyone, I want to be clean of these meds so bad, but, I don't know if I can stand the pain and the sad emotions I feel when I don't take them.  I truly have a bad back and never ever took anything illegal. My back problems started when I was 23, but I never took pain pills then, only maybe once every two years going to emergency room they would give me about 10.  I hated them then.  When my back hurt so bad I could barely function I would buy a bottle of wine and drink it.  I hated that, and I don't want to have to do that again.  I am doing better about taking as directed, but, I just hate the idea I have to depend on these pain pills.  My job requires me to work hard and I love it, but, I know I would be on disability if I did not have these pills I have for the last 10 years, since I was 40.  I am glad to hear about your job.  I know you can do it.  I know that if I could have something else to help my back I would do it.  I am going to try harder to take less than perscribed even, and exercise.  Of course exercise with heavy weights when I was younger is part of the problem, and falling, but, when I do aeorbics it does help me and I feel better.  Take care and love to all on the forum.  Please don't let what anyone says that is abusing drugs on this forum upset you.  They are just messed up and need help.  Some people just go about asking in harsher words, mainly because they are so disgusted and angry with themselves like we are,for allowing ourselves to abuse these pills.

i apologize to you for all the rude comments that have been directed to you in this thread and any other thread you are trying to participate in.
please tell me are you presently drug free and i so for how long.what was your drug of choice and how and in what part of this country did you do your detox? you stated that you feel maintaince is a waste do you have experiance with maintaince that you can back up your assumptions. im on maintnace with suboxone right now and it seems to be working for me now but i am seroiusly thinging about detox so i can be totally drug free. im interested and im sure all these other people who are rude are also so please share alittle with me   thank you

Don't beat yourself up more than you already have Lis!!! Its not worth it.
As i just said to Tobie, Sabian and Mystere(New Orleans Lady), pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and go at it again!!

I'd look at it this way......1 week or so back up to ~~ 12 vikes/day, in the last 3-4 months is still being at a dramatically reduced rate(your 4/day) for about 98% of that time!!!  In other words, you are still making some serious progress sweetie!!
I did notice you hadn't posted as much, and wondered.......but you need to know we don't judge here, and accept you using, tapering or clean; cause we are all human!!
